Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data SnitchBack processes, for what purpose, and what rights you have over it. SnitchBack is an independent product, not affiliated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.

1. What data we process

• Anonymous installation identifier: when you install the extension, a random identifier is generated (not linked to your name, email, or Instagram username) that we use to recognize your installation and apply the free scan limit or your Premium status.
• Instagram follower data: the extension reads, inside your own browser, the followers and following list your account already shows you on instagram.com. That processing happens locally; SnitchBack does not store your follower list on its servers.
• Payment data: if you subscribe to Premium, the payment is processed by Stripe. SnitchBack never receives or stores your card number; it only keeps the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers linked to your anonymous identifier.

SnitchBack never asks for or stores your Instagram username or password.

2. Purpose of processing

• Applying the limit of 2 free scans per month.
• Activating and maintaining Premium access when you subscribe to a plan.
• Processing payments and subscriptions through Stripe.

3. Where data is stored

Your anonymous identifier and subscription status are stored in a database running on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Billing data is managed and stored by Stripe under its own privacy policy.

4. Who we share data with

We don't sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes. We only share the data strictly necessary with Stripe to process payments.

5. Your rights

You can request at any time that we delete your anonymous identifier and associated subscription data by writing to info@snitchback.com. Since the identifier isn't linked to your identity, we may ask for extra information to locate your record.

6. Cookies

This website uses one small, non-tracking, non-advertising cookie to remember your language preference (Spanish/English).

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the product or applicable regulations. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
